Let's assume your organization has completed, or is in the process of completing, an assessment of the areas which call for improvement. If performance objectives have not already been determined, now is a good time to agree on the measures that will be used to indicate progress made toward making your organization a better performer. Once identified, these objectives can be entered by team leaders for each of the 7-S elements as needed.

Though an objective is linked specifically with a chosen 7-S element, any team can work on that objective. Teams can work across all 7-S elements and on any objective.

 

The next step describes how team leaders and members can use the system to develop strategies that will be used to achieve the stated objectives.
